We’re proud to introduce our new Youth Advisors: a group of twelve young people ready to bring their experiences, ideas and ambitions to our mission.
At Mission 44, we believe young people should have the power to shape the decisions that affect their lives.
This goes beyond simply listening to young people or asking for their views. It means giving young people real power to guide what we do, from influencing our priorities and decisions to helping shape how our organisation is run and where we put our time, money and energy to make change happen.
Over the next three years, twelve new Youth Advisors will work alongside our team and partners to help drive change so that every young person can thrive from the classroom to their dream career.
Our Youth Advisors will help to ensure that young people’s lived experiences remain at the heart of our organisation. They will contribute across our work: helping to design programmes and strategies, informing campaigns, and representing our mission at events. Select Youth Advisors will also sit alongside Trustees on our Impact Committee, where they share decision-making power and help review and approve grants.
This approach reflects a simple but important principle: decisions about young people should not be made without young people.
The work has already started for our 2026 cohort – we look forward to seeing the impact they’ll undoubtedly make at Mission 44.

“Growing up in an area with low-funded schools and seeing peers from many diverse backgrounds facing different systemic and socio-economic challenges, I have seen firsthand how lack of acknowledgement creates barriers. This has shown me how institutional decisions directly shape young people’s lives and fuels my determination to turn advocacy into lasting impact.”
